As a former pastor, Interim Executive Presbyter, and Synod
Executive/Stated Clerk, I have seen the value of have the staff become a
part of the Administrative Personnel Association (APA) organization.
The training classes are where information and skills about
administration, polity and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) governance
are taught and learned.
For the church, presbytery, and Synod staff I feel the church as a whole
deeply benefits from the training and sharing that obviously abounds at
these conference.
The levels of achievement in APA are important as administrative
staff take courses and net-work across our Synod and the entire
denomination.
My sincere thanks to APA for providing this excellent training for our
church professionals.
Please seriously consider becoming part of APA if you are not already.

From my own experience as a minister in a local church and as one who
serves as part of the staff of a presbytery, I commend APA for the
education it provides to those who provide administrative support for
the church’s ministry. The
course outline provides valuable continuing education for church
administrative staff. The
background in church polity and church organization mean that those who
work in our offices not only can spell Presbyterian but also understand
what it means. Our churches
are stronger and better able to serve because of this ministry.
Thank you APA!
